and it seems just right that it should be stained a dark oxblood sort of red

Stable condition and not especially fragile

but I bought them just because I think they're fantastic looking

Chamberlain I think 1915A beauty of an example of an early Froebel kindergarten paper weaving, this one I feel quite sure done by a teacher because of its fineness. It appears that the orange brown paper was painted first, reminding me of grain sponge painted boxes and furniture. Very striking. With a second paper weaving, aqua and plum, on the reverse, adhered to it. 19th c. I believe, found in Pennsylvania. 5" x 5 1 4". A few small tears along the edges, not running all
