There are a ton of avenues to explore with this one, and its a good enough tempo play on its own that I expect it to see a lot of play in a lot of decks

It keeps stories alive for people who maybe hadnt experienced them yet

While this may seem rather niche due to Salamanders being an incredibly rare creature type, at the beginning of your end step, each player who controls the least number of creatures creates a 4/3 Salamander token

You do get 12 boosters in a box which may seem less than the Draft and Set boosters, but you are expected to open higher value, foil, and exotic cards instead
