From the beginning, this card had Commander staple written all over it, so the initial demand is understandable
While this isnt as efficient as bringing them back to the battlefield, it does mean you get any cast triggers you need, along with ensuring you dont have to sacrifice anything along the way either

Guild Summit draws an absurd number of lands if you drop it on turn 3 and continuously follow it up with gates, or it can become a massive draw spell later
